Fern and Fable Stories was born beneath old trees, in quiet moments, and in childhood curiosity.
I’m Charlotte, a writer, and early years educator with a deep love for storytelling, nature, and the gentle magic of small things. With over a decade of experience working in early childhood settings, I’ve spent my days surrounded by curious minds, muddy boots, and questions that begin with “Why…?”
Through those years, I saw how children make meaning through story, how a whisper of wind, a puddle’s reflection, or a falling leaf can spark whole worlds of imagination. Fern & Fable grew from that space: a wish to create stories that honour stillness and the natural world.
Each book I write is a quiet adventure, told in lyrical language and wrapped in watercolour, inviting children to listen closely, slow down, and discover that the world is already full of magic.
